Is delivery to the mailbox limited to certain couriers?

No, any courier who has been given the access code by the customer can deliver to the mailbox.

How does the delivery company get the access code when delivering a package?

Most modern online stores both domestic and international have an “additional information” field at checkout, where you can easily enter the access code and short delivery instructions.
Alternatively, you can provide the code later when you receive a delivery notification and want to specify the time or share additional details.

Does the postal service need a key or code for regular mail and newspapers?

No, they don’t. Regular mail and newspapers can be delivered through the smaller slot of the mailbox just like with any traditional mailbox.

If I’m away for a longer period, for example on vacation, can I give someone else permission to empty the box or pick up my deliveries?

Yes, you can. The easiest way is to lend your access tag to a trusted person or simply share your GARDI box’s access code with them.

How is the mailbox installed?

The back panel of the mailbox has pre-drilled mounting holes, allowing you to easily install it in place of your previous mailbox.

How do I open the GARDI mailbox?

You can open the box in three ways:

  1. With an access tag (1 included, additional tags available if needed)
  2. With a numeric PIN code
  3. With a traditional key (1 included)
